The MIfx™ Dorsal IM Plate gives surgeons a minimally invasive approach to dorsally displaced unstable distal radius fractures that is unique in orthopaedics. The combined technologies of the intramedullary fixation (without time consuming nail locking screws) and buttress plating create a stable construct that allows for minimal post operative immobilization, early range-of-motion, and functional restoration.

Minimally Invasive Fixation enables the surgeon to create a stable construct for dorsally displaced, unstable distal radius fractures without the time and exposure required in most volar approaches. Using a 3 cm incision, the surgeon is able to reduce the fracture with minimal effort and also secure loose fragments with fixed angle screws, implantable K-wires or variable angle screws.

CoverLoc™ technology is a patent pending advancement that provides the surgeons with lag screw compression into the bone while still having fixed angle screws. In addition, securing the CoverLoc sheath also provides a smooth surface for all soft tissues to glide along.

Advanced Intuitive Instrumentation allows the surgeons and staff to quickly and accurately place the implant while also assisting in reducing the fracture. It has helped in keeping the resulting tourniquet times ranging from 30 to 45 minutes
